On Saturday, August 17, 2008 Waymart held its first annual "Waystock", where many bands from around the area came to play for everyone who watched and listened from Wayside Park. Along with a huge festival with lots of food and vendors. Also on this day, the Waymart Volunteer Ambulance Corps held a coin drop.
